I was shopping in the local Target one afternoon by myself with my daughter. She's a very good little girl but after a certain time frame she runs out of calmness and goes into freak out mode. She was in the cart crying and screaming to get out. It's too hard to let her out of the cart so I was trying desperately to distract her. The end was in sight...we were at the check out counter...still crying. I suddenly felt a hand on my should and when I turned around there was a lovely woman with long gray hair. I thought she was going to scold me on my childs behavior, when instead she asked if she could help me by unpacking my cart for me. It almost brought tears to my eyes. I'm so used to people looking at me in disgust when she throws a fit that it never occured to me that she would want to help. I was taken back. Thank you to whoever you are and thank you to people with the understanding of what it is to raise a toddler. That kind lady reminded me that most people have been in my situation but they forget and instead turn judgment. I will be that kind lady and help the stressed out mother...won't you?
