A new TV show is starting this Thursday night, and while I hardly ever make it a point to watch TV..... on TV..... anymore, I definitely can't wait for "Parks and Recreation." I'm excited not just because it has Amy Poehler and folks from "The Office," but also because it's all about the Parks Dept of a small Indiana town! Pawnee, IN is fictional, but it looks like they're going to do justice to any given Indiana town, and given the talent involved, this should be an awesome show.

The NBC show site is pretty standard, but check out the town's website, it's hilarious! pawneeindiana.com

Some of my personal favorites:
"Let's Keep Pawnee Beautiful Program" ...canceled.
The REI (Raccoon Eradication Initiative) logo contest winner
The "East End Liquor and Wine" beer selection (closed sundays)
The "Information Technology" page is under construction :)
It's well worth browsing. I think they've got us pegged.

IndyGo, the bus syestem in Indianapolis is getting 16 million. Awesome. As a rider and enviromentalist this is good news. No its not going to solve all the problems but it's a move in the right direction and shows the bus riding citiziens of Indianapolis were not forgotten. Nuvo said we're one of the lowest funded public trans systems in the country for our size. Well maybe if they make good use of this new money, the city will start seeing the benefits of a good transpo system.
