Indy's Never Never Land

Mass Ave Toys, the toy store on Mass ave is a child's dream. There are robots to wind, dolls to hold, and mustaches to wear. I spent 2 hours in the store with my child on a rainy day just having fun. The owner of the store is near by for suggestions on toys for different age groups. The prices might be a little steep but when you buy a toy you're supporting a place that make dreams come true and that brings out the inner child in plenty of adults.

Burned IHOP Sprouts CVS

April 15, 2009
missy - downtown

The 16th and Meridian area is gradually improving. They tore down the burned IHOP building and started construction on a new CVS. I'm assuming this will be in place of the CVS on 17th and Illinois... cuz it would seem a little silly to have two that close. But at least that area is doing better. Just a few years ago it was a complete mess of disheveled buildings, crack dealers, and basic ugliness. Now, Herron Arts is expanding and quality businesses are going up. Now I just hope somebody does something with that huge apartment complex. Didn't somebody buy that like a year ago and have a biggo plan for renovation? I remember reading it in IBJ.
